12 April 2020

The DOCU/UKRAINE national competition includes five films which capture the whole range of diversity of the Ukrainian reality. All of them are feature-length debuts: together with their authors, we watch the daily life of Ukrainian suburban trains, travel in time in the film poem about Derzhprom, go on a pilgrimage to Zarvanytsia, meet a family from Krasnohorivka in the "red zone" of Donbas, and learn a bit more about the everyday life of Ukrainian soldiers through their personal video recordings. We remind you that this year, Docudays UA will be held online. On 24 April through 3 May, we will present over 45 live streams of RIGHTS NOW! human rights events and DOCU/CLASS Documentary Workshop events. Every evening throughout the festival, the new episode of The Village by Claire Simon will be presented. In addition, over 50 films will be available free of charge on our DOCU/SPACE platform until 10 May. How will the online festival take place? Read about it at this link.
