Speakers: Melissa Lindgren, Kasia Kuczyńska

Melissa Lindgren is a producer and curator based in Stockholm, Sweden. She graduated from the University of Gothenburg with an MFA in Curatorial Practice (film/video) and is the founder and co-director of the Cinema Queer International Film Festival. In 2019 Melissa joined the acclaimed production company Story as a producer, focusing on creative documentaries and arthouse fiction. In 2022 she was made partner of the company. Her filmography includes Always Amber (2020), Night Shift (2022), Love You Bye (2023), Labor (2023),  Megaheartz  (2023), and The Society of the Spectacle (2023).

Kasia Kuczyńska is a producer at HAKA Films in Warsaw. She graduated from the Lodz Film School and the Wajda School, and participated in the Ji.hlava Emerging Producers programme. HAKA Films’ first documentary, Boylesque by Bogna Kowalczyk, premiered at Hot Docs 2022 winning the Best International Filmmaker Award. HAKA Films co-produced Alisa Kovalenko’s latest feature-length documentary, We Will Not Fade Away. Currently, she has several documentaries in production and development, including Alisa Kovalenko’s next documentary Frontline.
