Ukraine: Here We Go! 10 Ukrainian Film Projects Are Going to IDFA

02 September 2019

We are happy to announce the projects that are going to participate in the Ukrainian delegation to IDFA, the main documentary platform in the world.

Each application was very strong, and we thank everyone who submitted their projects for participation in the Ukraine: Here We Go! event. We tried to select as many projects as possible to participate in the delegation, because we believe that the development of cinema happens first and foremost through the development of those who make it. It was important for us to provide the opportunity to attend IDFA to as many Ukrainian filmmakers as possible. We will cover travel costs, accommodation for 4 days and festival accreditation for 1 representative (director or producer) of each project. We will contact all the participants within the next seven working days.

Fragile Memory, dir. Ihor Ivanko

Salt from Bonneville, dir. Semen Mozgovyi

Limans, dir. Serhiy Lysenko

Expedition 49, dir. Alisa Kovalenko

Florian’s Testimony, dir. Oleksiy Radynski

Aftermath VR: Euromaidan, dir. Serhiy Polezhaka (project manager Oleksiy Furman)

Roses. Film – Cabaret, dir. Irena Stetsenko

Fragments of Ice, dir. Maria Stoyanova

Between Two Wars, dir. Alina Gorlova

Company of Steel, dir. Yuliia Hontaruk

Essentially, your documentary project’s participation in the delegation is a unique opportunity to learn more about the possibilities of IDFA and expand your network of professional contacts. Because the authors will present their work as a part of the event Ukraine: Here We Go!

This year is the first time when Ukrainian professionals have the opportunity to receive financial, coordinating and consulting support and present their projects at the central documentary film platform of the world thanks to collaboration between the Ukrainian State Film Agency, Docudays UA and IDFA, and with support from the Ukrainian Institute.
