About film

The visit: an alien encounter – is a full-length scientific and philosophical documentary directed by Michael Madsen about a meeting of humans with aliens. The first encounter with aliens is demonstrated through a hypothetical visit of extraterrestrial intelligent civilization. Nowadays there is no official scenario for the first encounter. That’s why The visit is not only a radical odyssey in the unknown but also a profound research of humankind itself. Finally, this is a mirror which reflects a completely different image from what we used to know about ourselves.

Michael Madsen is a Danish film director and a conceptualist artist. His latest 3D-film Halden Prison is a part of the project ‘Cathedrals of Culture’, initiated by Wim Wenders. Besides, Michael lectures in Universities in Holland, Denmark, Great Britain and the USA.
