Born in 1951. He studied cinema in the famous French school IDHEC (Institut des hautes etudes cinematographiques), now FEMIS (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Metiers de l'Image et du Son), in the directing and editing section. He won the Villa Medicis award “Hors les Murs”. His filmography among others includes Avignon public passions (1996), Belief of the Century: History of Communism (2000), Hanoi (2001), Roman Carmen, Filmmaker of the Revolution (2001), Pierre Beregovoy: Tragedy of Power (2003), Battle for Indo-China (2004), France/Vietnam 1945/1947 Impossible Agreement (2004), Cecile Rol-Tanguy, Struggle for Freedom (2005), Lesson of Karate (2005), The Shadows of the Devils’ Island (2006), Vietnam, Treason by the Media (2008)
The festival pass gives access to the rich Docudays UA offline programme, namely the best documentaries from around the world and meetings with their authors. The 20th Docudays UA will take place on 2–8 June 2023.
2022 pass holders who did not use them during the Docudays UA Special Edition last year can receive a pass for the 20th festival free of charge. If the pass has been used, you can get a 50% discount.
