Docudays UA

On April 1, 2010, the solemn closing ceremony of Docudays UA, the 7th International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival took place. This year an audience had an opportunity to see 32 best documentary films from Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Israel, Macedonia, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Ukraine.

Art Competition Jury of the Festival awarded 3 diplomas and Grand Prix

Members of the Art Competition Jury:

• Patrick Barberis, film director, France (jury chairman);
• Jacek Bławut, film director, Poland;
• Volodymyr Voitenko, film critic, Ukraine;
• Grit Lemke, programmer of the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, Germany;
• Serhiy Lysenko, film director, Ukraine.

Diplomas from Creative Jury received films:
Long Distance Love, director Magnus Gertten (Sweden);
The Living Room of the Nation, director Jukka Kärkkäinen (Finland);
Cash&Marry, director Atanas Georgiev (Macedonia).

Grand Prix in the Art Competition won film Mum Died On Saturday in the Kitchen, director Maksym Vasyanovych, Ukraine – “For silence louder than cry”.

All the filmmakers from countries of the former Soviet Union are invited to take part in a special workshop in Kyiv, during the 7th  Docudays Ua, Human Rights International Documentary Film Festival from March, 28 to April, 1 ended up with pitching forum during the Krakow Film Festiwal, in the first week of June. The classes are in small groups hosted by  international experts. Working languages are Russian and English. The ready projects for documentary films will be presented to commissioning editors from the largest European and global television networks who will come for the Dragon Forum session to Krakow in June 2010.

From today you are welcome to submit your projects for the Dragon Forum 2010 in Kyiv!
