Docudays Ua in the Cinema-Tent Docudays Ua in the Cinema-Tent A special presentation of Docudays Ua festival took place on July, 4-5, 2009 at the Festival of Festivals Trypillian Circle 2009

Second international eco-cultural festival Trypillian Circle 2009 “Earth” took place on the hills near the city of Rzhishiv, Kyiv region.

For more than seven thousand years our Earth has been keeping a secret of an ancient culture. Probably it is time to open this secret and finally touch the spirit of the most ancient civilization on our planet.

Trypillians, the oldest farmers on the Ukrainian grounds, left us a fascinating culture, which organically entwined to the culture of the Ukrainian people. Thousand years ago this civilization inhabited enormous territories from the Dnipro to the Danube, and now it surprises modern people by unique ceramics, painted with sacred symbols, original written language, perfect calendar and great clothes, made of a few types of fabrics, as well as different decorative patterns invented by Trypillians, which are still used nowadays. Lots of Trypillian cultural achievements in farming, housing and ornamentation moved into Ukrainian culture.

Leading Trypillian secret symbol was a figure of the Protecting Mother. The power of the elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire are naturally counterbalanced here, inspiring us by their energies. Those strong principles unite different nations, who come to our land with peace. Trypillians lived in a harmony with their surroundings, sensing free energy of the elements. And we are going to try following their example because in modern word and technological progress people forgot how it feels to be a part of nature.

The culture of Trypillia, which was in its bloom eight hundred years before the first Egyptian pyramid and long before the rise of Sumer civilization, simply amazes a modern person.

Nobody knows whether or not Trypillians were our grandparents, but let us feel a breathe of one of most ancient civilizations, once blessed by the Sun, fed by fertile Earth, blown upon by young winds and watered from clean healing springs.
